Reckoning Esports has officially marked its entry in India’s first franchised esports league, the Skyesports Masters CSGO. The Mumbai-based esports organization is currently one of the eight franchised teams competing for a share of the Rs. 2 Crores prize pool in India’s biggest gaming tournament.

Reckoning Esports joins Skyesports masters CSGO

According to reports, Reckoning Esports is set to sign a five-member team for the Skyesports Masters tournament. Additionally, the team will be selecting two players from the open-for-all Skyesports cafe qualifiers taking place in 20 cities across the country. Interested individuals can currently register for the qualifiers on the official Skyesports Masters website.

The Skyesports Masters tournament, with its franchised structure and grassroots-level cafe qualifiers, perfectly aligns with Reckoning Esports' vision of providing opportunities for aspiring athletes to showcase their skills. The organization firmly believes in a thorough scouting process for all its esports teams, and the grassroots-level cafe qualifier program of Skyesports Masters enables Reckoning to achieve precisely that.

Skyesports Masters schedule

The Skyesports Masters is set to begin on July 1 with an exhilarating league stage which will happen until Aug. 17. From here, the top four teams will advance to the Skyesports Masters Playoffs, which will be an on-ground LAN event on Aug. 26 and 27. With a total prize pool of Rs. 2 Crores, a lot is on the line for the eight teams competing in the tournament.

Reckoning Esports

Reckoning started as a group of friends in a cafe teaming up to compete at the highest level of DOTA India had to offer then. The project started with a strong bond of friendship and fire to prove something to the orthodox thinking of Indian generality. The Indian scene a couple of years back was so prejudiced that there was never ever a chance for aspirants to get to that top level of Indian DOTA. It was never due to the fact that these aspirants were not putting in the hard work or had less fire than the people at the top. The prejudice, we felt, had to be answered by the RECKONING, hence the name.
