Indian Wedding Market: While the Indian wedding season is in full swing, a survey of young people who are getting married or thinking about getting married has been released. According to the survey, today’s young men and women do not want to rely on their parents to cover the costs of their marriage. According to IndiaLends’ recently released Wedding Spends Report 2.0, 42 percent of young people want to finance their own wedding expenses.
According to the survey, 60 percent of women want to fund their own wedding expenses, while only 52 percent of men do. 58.8 percent of the young people polled want a very lavish and intimate wedding. Meanwhile, 35.3 percent of young people want to marry with great fanfare and expense. On the other hand, 42.1 percent of bride and groom said they would like to get married using their savings, while 26.3 percent said they would take out a loan to finance the wedding.
