Rivera electric, the two-wheeler startup has recently launched their new River Indie electric scooter in the Indian market. It is designed differently from all the traditional scooters around the market. The company has told us that booking for the scooter has started. Let’s take a look at their specifications.
A 6.7kW (peak) mid-mounted motor connected to a belt drive powers the River Indie. The e-scooter is said to reach a top speed of 90kmph thanks to its peak torque output of 26Nm. With three riding modes—Eco, Ride, and Rush—the e-scooter can go from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in 3.9 seconds. A 4kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a 120km real-world range is connected to the motor. With a regular charger, the battery can be charged from 0% to 80% in five hours.
The River Indie has twin LED headlights that have a unique appearance, and the tail light, as well as the indicators, are LED. It has a large, LED-lit 43-liter under-seat storage space, a 12-liter lockable glove box with a USB charging port, and a light-sensitive LCD instrument cluster. On the handlebar, there is a second USB port as well. A pair of rider footpegs, crash bars built into the apron, saddle stays, higher clip-on handlebars, hazard lights, and a side-stand motor cut-off mechanism are further noteworthy features.
