Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani: CBFC removes Mamata Banerjee reference and other abusive words from KJo’s movie

The hype around the movie has risen beyond the level, making fans excited to watch how Alia and Ranveer maintain their goofy chemistry just like ‘Gully Boy’. The advance reservation process will soon begin, and in the meantime, the censor process has been successfully finished.

Censor Board Removes Scenes from Rocky Aur Rani

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved the Karan Johar-directed movie after making multiple changes. The censor board modified a swear word in the romantic comedy after receiving complaints. The liquor brand ‘Old Monk’ has been replaced with ‘Bold Monk’. The CBFC further requested to use any other phrase for ‘Lok Sabha’ in the film. Meanwhile, there is a complete dialogue in the movie referring to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in one of the scenes of RARKPK, which has been completely cut off from the movie. Additionally, the lingerie shop scene has seen significant changes. The term “bra” has been changed to “item,” along with other changes.

Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani Duration

The CBFC provided the makers with the certificate following the modifications. According to the censor certificate, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani has a total running time of 168 minutes, i.e., 2 hours 48 minutes. Karan Johar is returning to the director chair after 7 years with the family drama Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani starring Ranveer Singh (Rocky), Alia Bhatt (Rani), Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Dharmendra in lead roles. The movie is scheduled to release on 28 July.
