Jaishankar shared insights on the implication of Donald Trump's anticipated victory in America and its global role at a diplomatic event in Canberra, Australia. She underscored the diminishing global dominance of the US with more curious policies working their way inwards since Obama’s administration.
Highlighting the withdrawal of American troops from Afghanistan under the Biden regime, Jaishankar noted that the State is prioritizing national interests over extensive international involvement.
He was also optimistic about the strengthening ties between India and America working towards global peace and stability regardless of who holds the office.
