Early Life & Education
Sana Khan was born on June 13, 1993, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and later changed her name to Sana Makbul Khan in 2014. Makbul completed her education at Mumbai's National College. She began acting and modeling professionally in 2011. Makbul began her modeling career by appearing in various TV commercials and programs. She appeared in the MTV reality show ‘Scooty Teen Diva’ in 2009, as well as the teen musical series ‘Ishaan: Sapno Ko Awaaz De’. She also competed in Femina Miss India and won the title of Femina Miss Beautiful Smile 2012.

Sana Makbul appeared in the second season of ‘Kitani Mohabbat Hai’ before playing “Lavanya Kashyap” in the television series ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon?’. She also appeared as “Riya Mukherjee” in the criminal investigation series ‘Arjun’, opposite Shaleen Malhotra.
She made her cinema debut in the Telugu film ‘Dikkulu Choodaku Ramayya’ in 2014, playing “Samhitha,” an aerobics trainer with whom a father and son fall in love. She also appeared in the Tamil crime thriller ‘Rangoon’, directed by Rajkumar Periasamy. She appeared in the 2019 film ‘Vish’ alongside Vishal Vishishtha. Sana competed in the reality TV show ‘Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 11’, which was filmed in Cape Town, South Africa, and finished on seventh position.

Sana Makbul revealed that she underwent surgery after a dog bit her face. Sana revealed to Poulomi on Bigg Boss OTT 3 that a dog bit the lips area of her face, forcing her to undergo major surgery. She also stated that she was depressed following the incident. Previously, during one of her interviews prior to appearing on ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’, Sana Makbul revealed that she had an accident in lockdown 2020 when a dog bit her face, specifically her cupid bow, causing her skin to tear. She had several procedures, including plastic surgery and grafting.
