The movie is based on the real life of Usha who used her words to ignite the zeal of rebellion and courage to fight against British rule.

The movie inspired by the Indian freedom struggle brings in spotlight on Usha Mehta, a young freedom fighter using Radio to mobilize her countrymen and fill them with the courage to take a stand against the atrocities of the British. Usha channelizes her passion by means of an underground radio station to reach out to Indians around the country. She is operating a clandestine Congress radio in secrecy during the Quit India Movement delivering addresses to boost the Indians’s valor to fight back for their independence. The plot gets on the edge when Usha is arrested. The anticipation of what will happen with her for challenging the status quo will keep you hooked to the movie.
Sara Ali Khan essays the valiant Usha Mehta on the radio. Joining her are Sachin Khedekar, Abhay Verma, Sparsh Shrivastav, Alexx O'Neil, and Anand Tiwari, with a special appearance by Emraan Hashmi.
