In another shocking news to the Television Industry, the most popular TV series Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai actress Vaibhavi Upadhyay, who played Jasmine in the show, has unfortunately died in a car accident. Vaibhavi Upadhyay has appeared in various programs over the years, including C.I.D. and Adaalat, but her work in Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai is her most well-known project. 

Vaibhai Upadhyay Death

Early on Tuesday, May 23, the news came into the spotlight that actress Vaibhavi Upadhayay, 32, met with a car accident. Her family flew away to Chandigarh to bring her mortal remains back to Mumbai and her final rites will be performed today (May 24). Vaibhavi was in Himachal with her fiancé when their car crashed into a valley, and both of them were dead on the spot.

TV Industry Lost Two Gems

This is the second loss in the Television Industry as a few days ago, Splitsvilla Season 9 fame and actor Aditya Singh Rajput was found dead in his house, allegedly due to drug overdose. Now the industry has lost another gem, Vaibhavi. Expressing grief and shock, Producer JD Majethia shared the shocking news on his Instagram story with the note reading, “Life is so unpredictable. A very fine actress, dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay popularly known as ‘Jasmine’ of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in the north. Family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for last rites. RIP Vaibhavi.”

TV Actor Deven Bhojani tweeted, “Shocking! A very fine actress and a dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay, popularly known as ‘Jasmine’ of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in north a few hours back. Rest in peace Vaibhavi.”

In addition to Sarabhai Vs. Sarabhai, Vaibhavi Upadhyay was also seen in ‘Chhapaak’, starring Deepika Padukone, ‘Kya Qasoor Hai Amla Ka’, web series ‘Please Find Attached’, and the 2023 feature ‘Timir’. She was well-known in the Gujarati theatre as well.
