SC on CA Exam 2021: The Supreme Court will hear the petition filed for the postponement of the July CA Exam

SC on CA Exam 2021:

The Supreme Court will hear the petition to postpone the CA exam today i.e. on 28th June. While the CA Exam 2021 is scheduled to be conducted from 5th July. Considering the current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, a petition was filed by Anubha Srivastava Sahai to postpone the exam which will be heard today. 

The plea has also sought direction from the apex court for the opt-out option, additional effort of the students. Along with this, there has also been a demand to increase the number of examination centers for the ICAI CA Final, Inter and Foundation Examination 2021.

The petition will be heard by a three-judge bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar, Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, and Justice Anuradha Bose. The petition challenged the June 5 notification issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants, ICAI, which had said that the examination would be conducted in July.

In this petition, there has been a demand to postpone the CA examinations. As of now, the ICAI has allowed the opt-out option for students who may be suffering from corona or whose family members are infected by the deadly virus.

It must be noted that CA Final Exam 2021 will start from 5th July until 19th July. The CA Inter exam will be held from 6th July to 20th July.
