Government Schemes For Daughters: The Indian government has launched several yojanas and schemes for people across the country. From farmers to the poor, people are getting benefits from these schemes, helping them fulfill their daily life requirements and earn money. Similarly, there are various government schemes for girl child that will help them in growth, education, awareness, etc.
This scheme is for girls who are above 10 years of age. The interest to invest in a financial year is a minimum of Rs. 250 and a maximum of Rs. 1.5 lakh, which will be received only after your daughter is 18 years old. The government gives 8% interest on this scheme, and a small profit in income tax is also available.
Launched by the central government, Balika Samriddhi Yojana is now operated by the state governments. Under this scheme, parents would get Rs. 500 when their daughter is born. Apart from this, a scholarship starting from Rs. 300 and up to Rs. 1000 per year is also provided when she joins the school.
The Human Resources Development Ministry has signed the Udaan Project with the CBSE Board. The project aims to provide deserving girl students in class 11 with simple and free online and offline study resources to help them prepare for engineering entrance exams. A daughter of a family with less than 6 lakh annual income can apply for this scheme. You can get the form of this program from the CBSE website.
