Self-Care Month: The World Health Organization took a step forward to recognise the significance of self-care by declaring 24th June to 24 July as self-care month. The month dedicated to self-care actions and interventions starts today i.e., 24th June, and concludes on 24 July, recognised as the ‘Self-care Day’ with the symbolic meaning that self-care should be practiced 24 hours and 7 days a week.
Keeping up with the spirit of this thoughtful initiative, here are 7 tips and methods you can incorporate into your daily life to look after your mental and physical health every day.
We have all heard it at least once, “Breakfast is the most important meal of the day” and yet how many of us follow? Surely, the lure of watching reels is more tempting than the meal on the table but make it a self-regulating rule to not touch your phone till you have had breakfast. It will help you kick-start your day on a fulfilling note.
As employees of desk jobs, our bodies get less body movements as it is. Post-lunch strolls are an efficacious practice to complete your step counts, get moving, and also break the monotony of sticking to your chair and desk.
How many times a bottle you fill in the morning continue through till the evening? Take note of your water intake, and try to drink it every 20 minutes. Then refill your bottles hourly, to get a short movement break and also bring fresh water.
