Who is Shanaya Kapoor?

Shanaya Kapoor is a scion of the legendary Kapoor family of Bollywood. She is the elder daughter of Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Sandhu. Her father is a well-known actor and director in the industry, whereas her mother was recently seen on Netflix’s show "Fabulous Lives Vs Bollywood Wives”. She has a younger brother, Jahaan Kapoor.

Shanaya did her schooling at Ecole Mondiale World School in Mumbai and has a knack for acting. She began her film career as an assistant director on the sets of her cousin's sister’s film, Gunjan Saxena.

Her learning as an AD also acted as her stepping stone into the world of cameras and glamour.

Kapoor has been known for her dance videos on her Instagram, showing her talent and interest in belly dancing. Her connection with the art forms can prove to be a strong support to her on-screen presence.

Shanaya Kapoor's Bollywood Debut

Shanaya Kapoor has finished shooting for her next film titled ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ with Vikrant Massey. The film is helmed by Santosh Singh.

'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ will mark the Bollywood debut of Kapoor, introducing her in the Hindi film industry. The film is slated to release on 11th July.

Shanaya Kapoor’s upcoming films

Shanaya Kapoor was supposed to make her Bollywood debut with Dharma’s ‘Bedhadak’ starring Gurfateh Peerzada and Lakshya Lalwani in 2022, however, the film has been shelved for time unknown.

Hence, Bejoy Nambiar’s Tu Yaa Main marks is next in line of Bollywood's new faces.

The teaser of the film dropped on Tuesday, showing Kapoor and Gaurav in a lonely and eerie lake where a man-eating crocodile is haunting with terror. Soon, Gaurav is pulled underwater by the crocodile with Kapoor yelling, and left stranded in the water in shock. However, it is not the only movie to her credit.
