Share Market: The bull run of the Indian market continues, and most stocks are often overvalued in the bull run. One way to understand a company’s valuation is the price-to-earnings ratio or the P.E. ratio. A low P.E. ratio compared to the industry P.E. average indicates that the stock is undervalued or overlooked by the market. In such a situation, when most companies of Nifty 50 are trading at their 100 P.E. ratio, these five stocks have a lower P.E. ratio than the P.E. of the industry.
The first company is Coal India, trading at Rs. 476 and its P.E. ratio is 7.8. The second company is ONGC, trading at Rs. 272 and its P.E. ratio is 6.8. The State Bank of India (SBI) is on the third number, trading at Rs. 239 and its P.E. ratio is 11.1. The next company is HDFC Bank, which is trading at more than Rs. 1700 with a P.E. ratio of 19.6. Last but not least is Hindalco Industries with a current market price of Rs. 695 along with a P.E. ratio is 15.5.
