Share Market: BSE-NSE To Organise Special Live Trading Sessions on 20th January, Know Timings For Each Session

Share Market: BSE and NSE will hold two special live trading sessions on January 20, 2024. These special trading sessions are being held to evaluate a disaster recovery site. The pre-open time for the first trading session will be 9:00 a.m. Following this, the normal market will open at 9:15 a.m. and close at 10 a.m. The second trading session will begin at 11:30 AM, and the normal market close time will be 12.30 PM. The third live session will run from 12:40 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. The first live session will last 45 minutes, the second for an hour, and the third for 70 minutes.

Reason For The Live Session on Jan 20

The stock exchange disaster site will be tested on Saturday, January 20, to ensure that trading can continue in any situation. If investors are unable to trade, a disaster recovery site is being developed to ensure that trading continues and investors maintain confidence in the market. This session will cover both the equity and FNO segments. The operating range for all future contracts will be 5%. Also, due to a settlement holiday on January 20, there will be no credits in the FNO segment, and the intraday profits from January 19 will be unavailable for trading. Additionally, the upper limit for securities in this session will be 5%. Securities, i.e. stocks with upper and lower limits set at 2% from the start, will remain unchanged.
