Share Market: To increase the trust of investors in Vodafone, promoter Kumar Mangalam Birla bought 1.82 crore shares on 6th September. Along with this, Pilani Investment also bought 30 lakh shares of the company. In its investor presentation, the company said that it has collected a total of Rs 24,000 Cr, out of which, 200 crore rupees have been invested by the promoters.
In May 2019, the company collected Rs 25,000 Cr through the rights issue. Of these, Rs 17,900 Cr was collected from the promoter group. In the next two years, the promoters have invested Rs 7,000 Cr in the company. The shareholding of Kumar Mangalam Birla in the company is 14.6%, Vodafone Group has 22.6% of shareholding, and the Indian government holds about 23% shareholding.
