The Sensex gained 12 percent and the Nifty gained 12.6 percent in the last seven weeks, marking the first seven weeks of consecutive gains since December 2020. On Friday, the benchmark BSE Sensex increased 241.86 points, or 0.34%, to 71,106.96, while the broader NSE index increased 98.25 points, or 0.46%, to 21,353.3.
