Shiv Sena Leader Shot Dead: Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri shot dead, one attacker arrested

Punjab's Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri was shot dead in Amritsar, Punjab. The incident took place outside Gopal Mandir on Majitha Road in Amritsar, in which Suri was hit by two bullets. After the accident, the Shiv Sena leader was admitted to the hospital, where his condition was said to be critical. Shiv Sena leader Gopal was protesting outside the temple over garbage.

One accused arrested

Sudhir Suri was attacked by two assailants, one of whom was arrested by the police. He has been identified as Sandeep. Another attacker escaped. The attacker Sandeep used a licensed weapon. Weapons have also been recovered. On the whole incident, Amritsar CP said, "Sudhir Suri was shot outside Gopal Mandir, Amritsar during the agitation. He was shot and taken to hospital and died. The accused was arrested and His weapons were recovered."

Suri had a dispute with temple management

It is learned that Suri and his associates have had a dispute with the people associated with the temple management today. He along with a colleague were sitting on a peaceful dharna on the road when the bullets were fired at him.
