Sikandar Box Office Day 4: seems like the audience is not ready to leverage a superstar based only on his massive popularity and past reputation. Neither the Eid holiday nor the weekend helped Khan’s film to get the desired number in the theaters as the audience is not ready to hype the lack of effort of the storyline of the film. Sikandar marks the first collaboration of Rashmika Mandanna and Salman Khan and Khan and director AR Murugadoss. The film was released in theaters on 30 March with a collection of Rs. 26 crore on the opening day, followed by an increase of around 12% on the Eid holiday earning Rs. 29 crore. The third day of the film experienced its first drop of 32.76% marking a collection of Rs. 169.5 crore as per the industry tracker Sacnilk.
The stats for the box office collection of Sikandar on day 4 show a 50% drop in the collection with an earning of Rs. 9.75 crore as per Sacnilk.
Salman Khan’s film is struggling to touch the Rs. 100 crore mark with his return on the silver screen. The film was made on a budget of a whopping Rs. 200 crore but the unimpressive plot line, and performance by the superstar have been disappointing the audience resulting in an underwhelming response at the box office.
Khan’s last film in the theaters Tiger Zinda Hai also faced similar challenges but managed to open at Rs. 33 crore at the box office. The film minted Rs. 36.54 crore on its fourth day and crossed the Rs. 100 crore mark within three days.
Sikandar, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala's Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment has added to the list of failing big-budgeted Bollywood films as the audience prefers content over the stardom of the film actors in recent years.
