Sikandar Opening Day Collection: After a much-anticipated wait of almost two years, Bollywood Bhaijaan Salman Khan brings back a full package of entertainment with his recently released ‘Sikandar’, starring Rashmika Mandanna as the leading lady. The movie created a lot of buzz as soon as the makers dropped the first poster, followed by the teaser, trailer, and music album. However, it seems like the magic of bhai didn’t reach the audience, creating a big gap between the expected opening-day earnings and the actual earnings of Day 1. Released on the occasion of Eid on 30 March 2025, the movie promises a rollercoaster of emotions, action-packed sequences, and powerful dialogue delivery.
Salman plays the role of Sanjay Rajkot in the film alongside Rashmika Mandanna as his love interest. While initial projections suggested an opening day collection of Rs 40-45 crore, the film fell short of expectations. According to Sacnilk, Sikandar made Rs 26 crore in India on its first day. However, the makers claim that it has earned Rs 30.6 crore in India and a worldwide opening of Rs 54 crore on Sunday.

Sikandar is one of Salman Khan’s lowest-opening films, along with other films including Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which earned Rs 13.5 crore on day one, and Radhe, which made Rs 4.75 crore. In comparison to Sikandar, his previous films performed much better; Tiger Zinda Hai grossed Rs 34.10 crore, Bajrangi Bhaijaan grossed Rs 27.25 crore, Sultan grossed Rs 36.54 crore, Kick grossed Rs 26.40 crore, Bharat grossed Rs 42.30 crore, Prem Ratan Dhan Payo earned Rs 40.35 crore, and Ek Tha Tiger grossed Rs 32.93 crore. Even Tiger 3, his previous film, had a higher opening at Rs 44.5 crore. Sikandar has, however, outperformed his 2012 movie Dabangg 2’s day one earnings of Rs 21.10 crore.
Despite the slow start, Sikandar is likely to gain some traction on Monday due to the Eid holiday. On Sunday, Sikandar had an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 21.60 percent, peaking at 25 percent during night shows. Directed by AR Murugadoss, the film is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. The movie stars Salman Khan and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles, along with Sathyaraj (who played “Katappa” in Bahubali), Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, Anjini Dhawan, Jatin Sarna, and Kajal Aggarwal in supporting roles.
