Who is Sonali Singh?

Sonali Singh is popularly known as the Business Manager of global Punjabi icon Diljit Dosanjh. Before and beyond that she is the Chief Executive Officer of Ripple Effects Studio, a seasoned Talent Agent with an experience of over 15 years in the field of entertainment as an Artists & Repertoire (A&R) professional.

Her foundation in management and execution comes from her academic years in Rai Foundation, New Delhi where she completed her Diploma in Aviation and Hospitality Management. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from C.C.S University, Meerut as per her LinkedIn profile. Diljit Dosanjh is a global phenomenon attracting a gazillion people from India and abroad. He has been a pioneer Punjabi artist in bringing Punjabi music to the international stage on a massive scale. Sonali is the strategist behind establishing Dosanjh as a force to reckon with. 

Journey as Diljit Dosanjh’s Manager 

Sonali Singh was on board with Dijit in 2016 after he signed ‘Udta Punjab’ and since then there has been no going back. Talking about how she managed to bring to life a vision as big as Diljit’s global stardom, she humbly passes all the credit to Dosanjh saying it is his name and credibility in the market that allows her to do what she does. 

Under her management, Diljit Dosanjh along with Sonali Singh created history with the Dil-Luminati tour, which became the largest North American tour ever for a Punjabi music artist, grossing over $27 million USD and breaking records with over 215,000 attendees. The North American leg was also the biggest Punjabi concert outside of India.

Her resilience, dedication, and hard work in managing the Punjabi global icon were recognized by Billboard in 2024 when she was honored with the Billboard Women in Music award for Global Manager of the Year. This made her the first Indian to win the award, and in her award acceptance speech, she underscored that this is a watershed moment for Indians and South Asians in the management industry to dream big and be recognized for their vision.

Beyond Diljit Dosanjh's Manager

Sonali has been working closely in sync in the Hindi and Punjabi film and music industries for more than 15 years now where she handled the marketing of such productions as Bajirao Mastani, Badlapur, Shamitabh, Tanu Weds Manu Returns as her IMDB profile discloses. 

Sonali’s private life remains largely private like her talent Dosanjh. Both prefer to keep their family and close relationships out of media scrutiny.
