SRK Dunki Movie on OTT: Shahrukh Khan’s fans can finally revel in watching his latest release on OTT. Dunki is now streaming on OTT, and here are the deets on when the movie will be released and on which streaming platform you can watch it.

Dunki starring Shahrukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, and Vicky Kaushal is director Rajkumar Hirani’s first project with SRK. The movie was a box-office hit gathering a gross collection of ₹447.70, making it the sixth highest-grossing movie of the year 2023.

After much anticipation and speculation for its OTT release, the OTT release of the film would quench Shahrukh Khan’s global audience’s curiosity to watch it at their leisure. 

The movie will be streamed on video video-streaming giant Netflix on 15 February 2024. Netflix India announced the release of Dunki on their platform through an Instagram post, captioning “Pack your bags! After a Dunki around the world, @iamsrk is coming home ❤️Dunki, now streaming on Netflix!”         

Dunki’s OTT release has been creating many speculations, and several reports speculated the movie to be released on Jio Cinema after the headlines of Jio Cinemas bagging the deal with team Dunki started floating around the internet. All the speculations come to rest now that the official Netflix page has revealed the movie to be streaming on their platform. 

About Dunki

The movie is inspired by the events of ‘donkey flights’ referring to the mass phenomena of illegal immigration routes taken by natives to enter foreign countries. Hirani with his characteristic element of nuanced emotions held the romantic comedy on the peripheries of humor to portray the emotional turmoil and physical hardships the illegal immigrants go through in an attempt to fulfill their desires to go abroad. 

Dunki is a story of four friends treading an illegal journey abroad, a dream they have cherished all their lives, lured by the dazzling West. It is the actual journey that brings in the realization of the hardships one goes through in moving away from home. 

The movie was released theatrically on 21 December 2023. Watch the movie now on Netflix.
