Sunny Paaji made his comeback with Gadar 2 in 2023, bringing back the romance with nostalgic characters, and soulful music mesmerizing fans once again.

In another unexpected surprise for fans, Sunny Deol has announced the sequel of Bollywood’s biggest war movie of all time ‘Border 2’, escalating excitement amongst fans. Let us talk about some of the best sequels Sunny Deol brought back to big screens.  

Border 2

Sunny Deol too to his social media to announce the comeback of the biggest war movie of Bollywood ‘Border 2’. In his Instagram post, the actor confirmed the news and shared a promo video of the sequel with the caption, “Ek fauji apne 27 saal purane waade ko pura karne, aa raha hai phirse. India’s biggest war film, #Border2. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta & Nidhi Dutta will be directed by Anurag Singh.” The movie will be the third biggest sequels of Sunny Deol after Gadar 2 and Ghayal: Once Again.

Gadar 2

Released in 2023, Sunny Deol made his much-anticipated comeback with Gadar 2, recreating the iconic couple of Tara Singh (Deol) and Sakeena (Ameesha Patel). The film created a storm at the box office with a total collection of approx Rs 625 Cr, becoming the highest-grossing Hindi movie in India. The movie brought back the nostalgic ‘Udd Jaa Kaale Kaava’, with the same essence of love and soulful music in the song, captivating the audience with the original voices of Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik.

Ghayal: Once Again

The 1990 film ‘Ghayal’ still tops the charts of being the most thriller and action-packed film of that time. In 2016, Sunny Deol returned with his character of Ajay Mehra in the direct sequel Ghayal: Once Again, directed by Deol himself. The movie continues the journey of Ajay Mehra after he gets released from jail and starts working as a reporter. While the movie promised a good start, the film didn’t make much impression on the audience and earned only around Rs 45 Cr at the box office. 

Yamla Pagla Deewana 2

Sunny Deol was seen once again in Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 with Dharmendra and Bobby Deol. The film has three parts, the first being released in 2011, the second in 2013, and the third part in 2018. A fun, light-hearted comedy film, Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 starred the Deol brothers and their father, Kristina Akheeva as “Reet,” Neha Sharma as “Suman Khanna,” along with other actors including Johnny Lever, Annu Kapoor, and Anupam Kher. The film made a decent earning of around Rs 32 Cr at the box office.
