TCS Job Scam: 16 Employees Fired For Allegedly Taking Bribe From Recruitment Firms

TCS Job Scam News:  In a new development regarding the June 2023 Job Scam case in Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the company has found its 19 employees guilty and has fired 16 employees from the firm. A recruiting fraud involving the largest IT business in India, TCS, was exposed in June 2023. The scam was carried out with the assistance of certain TCS employees. According to reports, several senior TCS employees accepted bribes from recruiting companies in return for hiring their applicants. As soon as the company came to know about this, three staffing companies were penalised and four Resource Management Group (RMG) executives were sacked.

 

Rs 100 Cr Job Scam

It was reported that a whistleblower from the company wrote a letter to the COO and CEO, alleging that higher officials of RMG were receiving bribes from such staffing companies in exchange for employing the applicants. Once the situation was known, the IT Chief established a three-person team to look into the claims made in the letter. In the previous three years, the firm has employed 3,00,000 individuals, including contractors, and those included in the scandal may have earned at least Rs 100 crore through commission, according to an official investigation.
