The fear of 'Operation Lotus' is haunting the Congress in Himachal. Himachal Pradesh Election Result 2022

The counting of votes for the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections is going on, it is being discussed that in the midst of tough competition, the Congress is allegedly fearing horse-trading of MLAs. It is also discussed that Congress has imposed the duty of AICC secretaries to stop the MLAs. 

Congress fears that BJP may poach their MLAs

Senior party leaders and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel, Bhupendra Singh Hooda, and Rajeev Shukla will go to Shimla. On the other hand, the fear of horse trading is troubling Congress. Congress can get its MLAs shifted to Mohali. Congress has imposed the duty of AICC secretaries to stop the MLAs. Along with this, Congress has gathered to take its MLAs to a safe place. 

According to reports, Congress fears that the BJP may poach its winning MLAs. Keeping this apprehension and the alleged 'Operation Lotus' in mind, Congress has planned to send Himachal MLAs to Mohali. According to sources, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and senior leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda have been entrusted with the responsibility.

Congress leading in trends

According to the official website of the Election Commission, in the trends of Himachal Pradesh, Congress is leading on 39 seats and BJP on 26 seats. Congress has got a clear majority in the trends. At the same time, independent candidates are leading in 3 seats.
