Himachal Pradesh's new Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has taken charge at the Secretariat in Shimla. On reaching the CM's secretariat, a contingent of women police gave him a guard of honour. After this, CM Sukhwinder Sukhu said that he had never thought that even a person from a poor family would hold the chief minister's chair. He thanked the people of the state for making him reach the post of Chief Minister.
He said that it is our responsibility to fix accountability. We will focus on good governance and make administrative changes on a large scale. The program to go to Delhi will be decided soon. CM said that he will work by taking feedback from every section of the society. Who will be in the cabinet and this will be decided by the party high command. Rajiv Shukla will form the cabinet.
Today is the first day of Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu in the Secretariat as Chief Minister. The cabinet of Sukhu government has not been announced yet. It is being told that it may take some time due to more claimants from Shimla. After the swearing-in, the election observers held long consultations with Sukhu and Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri till late in the evening. In such a situation, the MLAs may have to wait for a few more days for ministerial posts.
