The Railway Men First Look: On the occasion of National Pollution Control Day 2021, Yash Raj Films' (YRF) have announced its first OTT series. Titled as ‘The Railway Men’, the series will be dedicated to the unsung heroes of 1984 Bhopal gas tragedy. Which took place on Dec 2 and Dec 3 in 1984.

The series will be a tribute and salute to the people you saved lives while fighting against the air which got polluted with the leak of the chemical. YRF announced the big project on the same day of the unfortunate tragedy which struck 37 years ago.

YRF debuts on OTT platforms with The Railway Men 

Let us tell you that YRF will be bringing the content on digital streaming platforms with the name YRF Entertainment and will be bringing 5 big projects after its maiden series in the first year. 

Taking about the upcoming series The Railway Men and the unfortunate Bhopal Gas Tragedy, Akshaye Widhani, Senior Vice President of Yash Raj Films says: "The Bhopal Gas Tragedy is the world's worst industrial disaster that has impacted scores of people since the tragedy struck the city 37 years ago. At YRF, we are constantly trying to develop the best compelling stories for the audience and this is our tribute to the unsung heroes of the tragedy who, despite saving thousands of lives on that fateful day, are still unknown to people across the world."

The Railway Men Cast

The debut project of YRF brings R. Madhavan, Kay Kay Menon, Divyenndu Sharma and Babil Khan in the leads. The series will be directed by debutant Shiv Rawail. He has been associated with YRF with Aditya Chopra as he was his mentee. Now with The Railwaymen he will be bringing a 1 season series on how people fought back the unfortunate disaster while fighting with time and death. 

The Railway Men Release Date 

The shooting of 'The Railway Men' will start from December 1.  "The Railway Men is our salute to their spirit, their courage and their humanity. This is a story that needed to be told. We are not going to leave any stone unturned to ensure that this story reaches out to audiences, across the world, in the best possible way so that they can understand the depth of devastation that this tragedy has caused in India,” says Yogendra Mogre, Executive Producer at YRF Entertainment. 

The film will be released on December 2, 2022.
