The Traitors India: Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar is here with a new reality show to bring the audience to the edge of their seat. The Traitors’ trailer was released on Friday, where Johar reveals a reality game show where 20 controversial media figures are housed under one roof for a mind-bending game of finding the traitors among the innocents.
The Traitors is an international reality show, coming for the first time in India, with Johar shouldering the reins of the show.
The two minutes forty-seven seconds of The Traitor trailer starts at a mystique fort somewhere in isolation where 20 controversial actors, singers, content creators, and other media personalities come together to find out who the traitors are amongst them.
Johar explains the format of the show, where three traitors are masquerading as innocents among the group of 20 people, and they will be secretly plotting to “murder” the innocents to win the game. Each player will be “killed,” and Karan will drop their photo from the player's wall. But there is a grace.
Contestants will gather around a trust chair to nominate who they feel are the real traitors with a consensus.
The show trailer features some of the popular faces who have been in the limelight for controversies. Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra, content creator Apoorva Makhija, rapper Raftaar, actor Uorfi Javed, Jannat Zubair, Anshula Kapoor, Jasmine Bhasin, Karan Kundrra, Elnaaz Nourouzi, stand-up comedian Harsh Gujral, Ashish Vidyarthi, Janvi Gaur, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Sahil Salathia, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Sufi Motiwala are the twenty contestants of the show.

The magnificent palace featured in the show trailer has also raised the curiosity of many people. Reports suggest that The Traitors have been shot in the grand Suryagarh Palace, the same place where actor Kiara Advani and Siddharth Malhotra tied the knot.
The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar, will be streaming on Amazon Prime Video from 12th June. The winner of the show is reported to win a prize of Rs. 1 crore.
