Bollywood actress Kajol is all set to make her digital debut with “The Trial - Pyaar, Kanoon, Dhoka”. Earlier sometime, the actress shocked fans by deleting all her posts from Instagram, leaving with only one post that read, “facing one of the toughest trials of my life” with the caption, “Taking a break from social media”. Fans started speculating whether she is getting a divorce from her husband and actor Ajay Devgn, but it seems like this was one of her promotional techniques for her upcoming show.
Directed by Suparn Varma, the web series is the Indian Adaptation of Julianna Margulies starrer “The Good Wife”. The makers released the trailer of ‘Trial’ on Monday, giving viewers a preview of the captivating and gripping drama. The trailer starts with Rajeev Sengupta, an additional judge, detained after being accused of accepting sexual favours as a bribe. His two girls and wife, Noyonika (Kajol), are left to deal with the fallout and public attention. In order to get her life back on track, Noyonika rejoins the workforce as a lawyer. Her college mate (Alyy Khan) is helping her. Kajol enters the courtroom again as she pursues justice for herself and her family, she is subject to criticism from both the public and her fellow attorneys.
Kajol will make her OTT debut in The Trial, which will be streamed on Disney+ Hotstar from 14th July. Along with Kajol, Kubbra Sait, Alyy Khan, Sheeba Chaddha, Jisshu Sengupta, and Gaurav Pandey are in lead roles. The series promises to deliver a rollercoaster ride with lots of drama, ups and downs, love, betrayal, and a lot more.
