Before Covid, usually, 10-15 foreign luxury brands entered India every year. But now the situation is very different, companies have lined up to capture the new market of India.
India is the fifth-largest retail market in the world. And seeing the way people's purchasing power is increasing, global brands from all over the world are willing to invest in India. Most importantly, Germany, on the one hand, has started a recession in the Eurozone. At the same time, the condition of the economy of America, Britain and China is very bad. In such a situation, the whole world is seeing India as a bright spot. The Indian economy has grown at the fastest rate in the world at 7.2 per cent in the year 2022-23. Its effect is visible in the form of increasing demand for all businesses like clothes, cosmetics, footwear, watches, food items, jewellery etc. in urban areas.
