This dangerous dog will be included in PM Modi's security. Mudhol Hound | SPG Indian Dog

The responsibility of PM Modi's security of the country is handled by the SPG, while now it is reported that the SPG i.e. Special Protection Group has prepared to include Mudhol Hound Dogs of indigenous breed in its SQUAD. If media reports are to be believed, these dogs are being trained and soon you are going to see these dogs under the security of the PM.

Speciality about the breed

Found in the Bagalkot area of Karnataka, is known for its special working power and hunting instincts in the country. In America it is called Caravan Hound. At the same time, it is popular in many areas of Karnataka by the name of Karwani. The Mudhol Hound is considered to be one of the most hunter-gatherer, loyal and healthy breeds. 

Although this breed has many characteristics, it is known for its loyalty. The slim but tall Mudhol Hound has a very strong jaw. Once it catches the prey, it does not leave after that. This exotic breed is much faster than the German Shepherd. It is said that the work that German Shepherd dogs complete in 90 seconds, Indian breed Mudhol Hound completes that work in just 40 seconds.

PM Modi talks about the dogs

PM Modi had also mentioned the dogs of Mudhol Hound breed in Mann Ki Baat. He had said that if dogs of this breed are kept at home, then it will encourage the Indian breed and it is also necessary for building a self-reliant India.

Due to his hunting qualities and agility, he was kept in the Indian Army for the first time in 2017. After this, he was included in many more departments. In the month of April, the Canine Research and Information Center Timmapur handed over two male puppies of two months to the SPG.
