In response to the growing number of unclaimed deposits, Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das has inaugurated the UDGAM web platform on August 17, 2023. The goal of developing this web site is to assist consumers in locating unclaimed deposits/accounts.

How to search unclaimed accounts

To begin, go to the Udgam Portal website at https://udgam.rbi.org.in/. There, you must create a password by providing your name and cell phone number. After that, you must log in using your smartphone number and password. Following that, a page will appear in front of you where you can enter a lot of information. When looking for unclaimed accounts, make sure you select the correct category. If you wish to search for a single person's account, you must do so in the Individual category. If you want to search the account of any Hindu Undivided Family, Partnership Firm, Proprietorship, Company, etc., you must do so under the Non-Individual category.
