OTT Watch For Weekend:  The first festive weekend is here, and what is a better way to celebrate festivities than chill and binge-watching the most entertaining shows and films releasing on 26 and 27 October 2024? Kajol brings in her never-before-seen before avatar with ‘Do Patti’ on Netflix, TV’s richest celeb Kapil Sharma’s Zwigato will finally have its OTT release, and more interesting watches are due this weekend. 

Do Patti on Netflix 

Catch Kajol, Kriti Sanon, and Shaheer Sheikh live in action in a gripping psychological thriller in ‘Do Patti’. The Netflix original weaves a tale of love, deception, and hatred. Two twin sisters, marking the first double role of Kriti Sanon, have an absolute dislike for each other. Things take a grim turn when an attempted murder case by one of them brings an Inspector (Kajol) into the picture trying to untie the mesh. Shaheer Sheikh plays the love interest of Kriti Sanon. 

The Legend of Hanuman 5 on Disney+ Hotstar

In the fifth season of the popular animated series Hotstar, Hanuman returns with his strengths on screen. This season focuses on the Panchmukhi avatar of Lord Hanuman, his wisdom and power. Damandeep Singh Baggan and Sharad Kelkar will return to voice their roles of Hanuman and Ravan respectively. Hanuman is a character from the Indian mythology epic Ramayana. 

Aye Zindagi on Zee5

Starring Stayajeet Dubey and Revathi in poignant roles, the film is an emotional tale narrowing the lens on the patients undergoing liver transplants, and the anticipation of living or dying depending on finding a donor in time. Directed by the debutant Dr. Anirban Bose, the film is about a patient with cirrhosis and his hospital’s grief counselor.  

Zwigato on Prime Video

Helmed by Nandita Das, the film will make its OTT arrival on Friday after its debut at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival. Bringing into focus the plight of food delivery agents, the film shows how their life is entangled in the webs of ratings and incentives. Kapil Sharma is in the lead role of Manas, a food delivery fella and Shahana Goswami plays his wife Pratima.
