The country's leading two wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company has launched its first neo-retro roadster for sale in the Indian market. You will get this new bike in three variants. At the same time, this bike will compete directly with the upcoming bikes like Royal Enfield Hunter 350 and Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411.
It gets a teardrop-shaped, muscular fuel tank and minimal body panels. Accentuating the retro appeal are the circular LED headlight, with T shaped embedded inside it, and the single-piece seat. At the rear, it gets an LED integrated light bar. The motorcycle has been set up to demand an upright seating position, with mid-set foot pegs and a mid-rise handlebar.
The TVS Ronin is powered by a 226cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 20 bhp and a torque of 19.93 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, TVS Ronin comes up with an anti-locking braking system. This Ronin bike weighs 159 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 14 liters.
The Ronin’s motor is paired to a five-speed gearbox and gets an assist and slipper clutch. The bike is claimed to have a top speed of 120kmph and TVS says the Ronin will offer a strong low-end and mid-range torque, which would mean the engine can pull with ease at slow speeds on higher gears.
