Twitter News: Ever since Tesla CEO Elon Musk took over Twitter, there have been numerous changes to the app, from changing the name to X to introducing subscription-based plans. In another development, Elon Musk has introduced a new feature ‘Not a Bot’, which is currently being implemented in two countries. With the introduction of this feature, X users will now have to pay a certain amount of money to post anything from their account or to interact with any other posts. Elon Musk has said that the purpose of ‘Not a Bot’ feature is to ban fake accounts and automated bot accounts.
Elon Musk talked about the functionality on his X account, “From today, we are testing a new program (not a bot) in New Zealand and the Philippines. New, unverified accounts must subscribe under Not a Bot for an annual fee of $1 to post and interact with other posts. Existing users will not be affected by this test.” Previously, the Space X CEO stated that voice and video chats would also be made available on X (Twitter).
