Ujjwala Yojana: Yogi Government Announces Free LPG Cylinder for Beneficiaries Ahead of Diwali

Ujjwala Yojana News: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently laid the foundation stone for 256 development projects in Transport Nagar, totaling Rs 632 crore. Among these, 104 projects totaling Rs 208 crore have been inaugurated, and the construction of 152 projects totaling Rs 424 crore will get started. At the occasion, CM Yogi also said that all Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana beneficiaries will receive a free LPG cylinder as a Diwali gift.

In his address, CM Yogi said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a gift to every family through the Ujjwala scheme and has reduced the cylinder prices by Rs 300. Now we have also decided that every Ujjwala Yojana connection beneficiary will be given a free LPG cylinder as a Diwali gift. He further highlighted that only in Uttar Pradesh, the Ujjwala scheme has helped around 1.75 crore households. The Central Government’s Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana initiative offers BPL (Below Poverty Line) families financial support for LPG connections.
