FMCG may benefit from other industries

Although the FMCG sector wasn't specifically included in the Union Budget for FY 2023–24, the industry will benefit from a greater emphasis on strengthening agricultural infrastructure and technology. The massive investment in infrastructure with a capex allocation of Rs. 10 lakh crore, including the food grain segment, and the provision for decentralised storage capacity for farmers will not only boost the rural economy but also the whole economy while keeping macroeconomic stability in mind.
