He hasn't released a statement in the past two months, and he hasn't tweeted anything critical of the BJP.

If sources are to be believed, his tone has shifted in response to Maneka Gandhi, his mother and a BJP member from Sultanpur. According to the BJP District President of Pilibhit, we are all devoted party members. For the party, we all work. Every Pilibhit BJP member is dedicated to the lotus flower. On January 13, Varun Gandhi sent his last tweet criticising the BJP government. Since then, the budget has been released, but Varun Gandhi has not responded.
