India is growing very fast digitally. And this is known from the acceptance of UPI abroad. Along with this, RBI Governor, Shaktikanta Das also confirmed this while informing about the decisions taken by the MPC on 10th August. The Governor said that UPI is now reaching abroad. Along with this, he said that in the coming months, payments will be possible through UPI in many countries. Discussions are on with a few more countries to integrate their payment systems with UPI. It also includes some advanced economies who have shown interest in joining UPI.

UPI may be linked with various foreign digital payment systems

UPI may be linked to other foreign digital payment systems in the future days, including those of some Western countries and Japan. This information was provided by Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das following the third monetary policy review meeting of the current fiscal year. The Reserve Bank of Australia's Monetary Policy Committee met on August 8 to 10. The MPC also agreed to hold the repo rate steady at its third meeting of the current fiscal year. Following the meeting, Reserve Bank Governor Shaktikanta Das briefed the participants of the decisions made. Aside from the MPC's decision on the repo rate, he also revealed numerous key details, including UPI's worldwide connectivity.
