UPPSC decides to postpone the PCS Prelims 2021 exam, new dates to be announced later

UP PCS Prelims 2021:

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the  PCS 2021 Prelims exam which was scheduled to be conducted on 13th June 2021, considering the Covid-19 havoc in the country. While the fresh dates for the exam will be announced later. 

As per the official notification issued on Wednesday by the controller of the examination commission, Arvind Kumar Mishra, the following exams- Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services (Preliminary) Exam 2021 also known as PCR (Prelims)- 2021, Assistant Conservator of Forest (ACF)/Range Forest Officer (RFO) Preliminary Exam 2021 have been postponed until any further notice. Other than this, the preliminary exam for lecturer conducted in the government inter colleges (Male/female) 2020 has also been postponed by the UPPSC Council.  

It must be noted that the UPPSC commission was preparing for the conduction of the PCS prelims 2021 June exam in full swing despite the rapidly increasing Covid-19 cases in the state, before issuing the notification.  

The commission authorities even contacted the district magistrate of respective cities to conduct the PCS 2021 and ACF/RFO exams on their prescribed dates. 

While the dates for the conduction of these exams were issued by the UPPSC commission in January itself. As the commission stated that the PCS (Pre) 2021 was scheduled to be conducted on 13th June, while the ACF/RFO Exam 2021 was scheduled for 20th June 2021. The PCS (pre) 2021 exam was supposed to be held in 23 districts from 13th June onwards with over 500 candidates appearing for the exam at each center.

It must be noted that the candidates appearing for the PCS Prelims  2021 exam were collectively demanding the UPPSC commission to postpone the exam,  considering the second wave of the Covid-19 virus in the country.
