Uproar over the installation of Ambedkar's statue in Bharatpur, Rajasthan | Bharatpur Clashes | Nadbai Town

A commotion was caused when some locals objected to the placement of Babasaheb Ambedkar's statue in the Nadbai neighbourhood of the Bharatpur district. In the evening of April 12, the commotion got so bad that it resembled a riot.

After the disruption and arson, the police also fired tear gas canisters to disperse the demonstrators. The local conflict over the idol has grown more heated since the occurrence. Describe how the fuel that the demonstrators poured near the Belara crossing caused a fire.

The Congress MLA has announced the erection of idols in three locations in the Bharatpur district in preparation for the 2019 assembly elections in Rajasthan. This has caused a commotion here. Jogendra Singh Awana, an MLA from Nadbai, had mentioned erecting statues of Babasaheb Ambedkar, Maharaja Surajmal, and Lord Parshuram.
