Tesla, the US-based electric car maker, announced on Monday the appointment of Indian-origin Vaibhav Taneja as the company's new Chief Financial Officer, or CFO.
Vaibhav Taneja joined Tesla in 2016 when the firm acquired SolarCity. According to the manufacturer, he also serves as 'Master of Coin' in addition to his duties as Chief Accounting Officer. Vaibhav Taneja worked at PwC for over 17 years before joining Tesla. Vaibhav Taneja graduated from Delhi University with a degree in business. According to his LinkedIn page, Vaibhav Taneja studied accountancy at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India before becoming an accountant in 2016.
Tesla India Motor and Energy Pvt Ltd has rented an office space in Pune's Panchsheel Business Park. At the meantime, all of Tesla's officers will work in this office and the company will begin slowly. According to reports, this facility will host a variety of meetings.
