Since the film was a box office failure, "Lal Singh Chaddha" by Aamir Khan has come under fire. Director of Kashmir Files Vivek Agnihotri launched the most recent attack. He has once more spoken good & bad about both Lal Singh Chaddha and Aamir Khan. Although he doesn't think the boycott affected the movie, Aamir Khan didn't put much effort into making it.

Vivek Agnihotri on Laal Singh Chaddha

He made an argument to support his perspective in an interview with Kushal Mehra. Let's use Lal Singh Chaddha as an example, Vivek Agnihotri stated. I'm hoping Aamir Khan is aware of this. According to everyone in the business, "Bhakts ruined the film." But how many votes does Narendra Modi receive in India? 40 %, correct? I should have expected that between 40% and 50% of these folks have abstained from seeing the movie. Please explain why the remaining 50% did not attend the movie.

Vivek clarified his earlier statement by claiming that even if there had been a boycott, at least Aamir Khan's supporters would have spoken up. He should not even charge Rs. 150–200 crores if he does not have such ardent supporters. The director remarked, "If you don't have devoted admirers, then everything is fake and fraudulent." By charging between 150 and 200 crores, you are misleading people. Vivek claimed that the boycott of Aamir Khan's "Dangal" and "Padmaavat" was quite violent, despite the success of both movies at the box office.
