Weather Today: Relief from the scorching heat of the summer in the capital city along with other states of the country could finally be felt in the upcoming days. The weather department has predicted a dip in temperature with the onset of predicted rainfall in northern states with snowfall in hilly regions of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, and Ladakh. Rainfall is also forecasted in the Southern states from 15 April.

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in the capital. After the spells of scorching heat, there is hope for relief with expected rainfall in Delhi. As per the weather department, the northwestern mountains and plains will witness moderate rainfall in the next two days. Strong and gusty winds have been predicted on 13 and 14 April accompanied by spells of rain in the regions.
Light rain with bouts of thunderstorms has been predicted in Bihar by the weather report. A yellow alert has been issued in the cities of 9 southern cities including parts of Bhabhua, Aurangabad, Rohtas, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, Banka, and Bhagalpur.
The weather department has predicted spells of light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, gusty winds & hail likely to continue over Central India from 11th-12th April 2024.
For the next two days, an orange alert has been issued for heavy snowfall and rainfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, and Himachal Pradesh. Jammu and Kashmir may have isolated heavy snow/rainfall on 13 April, while Himachal Pradesh’s rain is predicted on 14 April.
Moreover, the weather department has predicted light rain in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Marathawada, and Madhya Maharashtra from 11 to 13 April.

Whereas regions of Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar Andaman & Nicobar Islands can have isolated light rain from 11 to 13 April.
While Northern India can hope for improving weather conditions saving from the burning heat of the summer. The southern states however still grip with heatwave conditions. The weather department has forecasted a heatwave in Odisha on 15 April, with hot and humid weather in Kerala, Mahe, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Coastal Karnataka, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha
