Weather Update: IMD Issues Storm and Rainfall Alert in UP, Bihar, Check Delhi-NCR Forecast

Weather Update Today: Since the beginning of April, parts of North India are experiencing sudden weather fluctuations, with thunderstorms, strong winds and light rain in states like UP and Delhi-NCR. With the scorching heat starting to trouble citizens, the climate has comparatively become cooler in April only, giving much-needed relief from the extreme heat. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there are chances of dust storms and rainfall in many areas of UP and Bihar, while the temperature in the national capital is expected to increase further. 

Heatwave Alert in Delhi-NCR

The weather department has predicted heavy rainfall in states including Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, eastern Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Sikkim, Assam, and Kerala till April 16. Apart from this, IMD has also issued a thunderstorm alert in Maharashtra for today. Meanwhile, talking about the national capital, the IMD forecasts extreme heat for the next three days, with no immediate relief. The skies will be clear on April 14 and 15, with maximum temperatures ranging from 38 to 41 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures between 21 and 24 degrees Celsius.
