Weather Update Today: After a short relief from heat for almost a week, the scorching heat is going to start once again in Delhi-NCR. After the end of the Western Disturbance, Delhi-NCR will once again be in the grip of heatwave, which is going to start from Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert regarding heatwave.

According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of the western disturbance is over now. In such a situation, scorching heat along with strong shining sun will increase the troubles for the people of Delhi-NCR. Amidst the scorching heat from Tuesday, heatwave will also add to the problems of the people.  

Delhi Temp to go Above 44 Degrees

During the next few days, the maximum temperature in Delhi-NCR may cross 44 degrees. With this, heat and strong sunlight will also show their effect. In such a situation, people need to be careful. On the other hand, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has expressed the possibility of a further increase in the minimum temperature in the coming days.

Meteorologist at Skymet Weather says that heatwave is already prevailing in different parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. Due to this effect, there will be a rapid rise in temperature in Delhi-NCR. The heatwave will continue till May 10. A yellow alert has also been issued by the Meteorological Department regarding this.

Heatwave will run in Delhi-NCR from Tuesday

According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, from Tuesday along with Delhi, most cities/areas of NCR of Haryana and UP will face heatwave. For this, a yellow alert has also been issued by the Meteorological Department.

Day by day the heat is increasing its intensity. After breaking the many-year-old record of heat in April, now the minimum temperature has also started increasing. The minimum temperature on Sunday was 26 and the maximum temperature was 40 degree Celsius. People who came out of the houses on Sunday morning were seen with their faces covered. Drink plenty of fluids to avoid the sun.

Cyclone Asani Update

The 'Asani' cyclone, which lifted from the southeast Bay of Bengal, is said to reach the Odisha coast in the next 24 hours. According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of the cyclone will remain in Odisha and Andhra Pradesh along with Jharkhand, Bihar, Bengal, Chhattisgarh and other states. During this, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas. Odisha Special Relief Commissioner PK Jena said that Cyclone 'Asani' is presently in South East Andaman which is moving in North West direction. It is expected to move in the same direction by May 10. Later, it will move exclusively parallel to Odisha. Will reach south of Puri by 11th May evening.
