Wedding Season Revenue 2024: After the festive season, the Indian wedding season has arrived, and according to the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), roughly 4.8 million marriages are expected to happen in November and December, generating approximately Rs 6 trillion in revenue. In Delhi alone, approximately 450,000 weddings are expected, contributing to an industry worth Rs 1.5 trillion. This is a significant increase over the previous year when 3.5 million weddings generated a business of Rs 4.25 trillion.
Around 4 million upcoming weddings are predicted to have budgets ranging from Rs 300,000 Rs to 1.5 million, 700,000 will have expenditures of around Rs 2.5 million, and 50,000 weddings may cost more than Rs 5 million each. This increase in weddings will enhance revenues in a variety of industries, including traditional apparel, electronics, and durable products. Increased demand for Indian-made goods, such as saris, lehengas, and gadgets, will benefit traders while also boosting the country’s economy.
