According to the EdelGive Hurun India Philanthropy List 2022, startup owners in India have boosted their charitable giving by about two times.

There are three new business owners on the list. These people include the co-founders of Flipkart, Binny Bansal, Ronnie and Zarina Screwvala, and Nithin and Nikhil Kamath of Zerodha. Five startup founders made the list the previous year.

Together, the three donated 166 crore rupees to charity in the fiscal year 2022, more than doubling their prior-year gift of 83 crore.

The donation from Nikhil and Nithin Kamath was increased by 300% to Rs. 100 crore. The youngest philanthropist on this year's Edelgive Hurun India Philanthropy List is Nikhil Kamath.
