Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has blamed seasonal problems for rising inflation in the country. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has said that supply was reduced due to seasonal problems, due to which inflation increased. He, however, said that efforts are being made to bring down the prices of essential commodities and it is being continuously monitored. Sitharaman also mentioned the efforts to bring down the cost of fuel and natural gas. He said that these are imported in the country and due to Kovid, Russia-Ukraine war, fuel prices are high in the global market.

The central government is continuously taking steps to bring down the prices. This is the reason why the retail inflation rate has now come down to below 6 per cent.
