Nowadays the trend of online payment has increased a lot. The government is also promoting it a lot so that minimum cash is used. Due to online transactions, the government has a record of every transaction. However, people still use checkbooks on a large scale. Some companies also pay salary to their employees in cheque. In such a situation, it is very important to have information about Cheque. Often we see that two lines are drawn in the corner of the cheque. 

Why is the line drawn on a cheque?

According to the rules of the Reserve Bank, it is very important to draw a line on a cheque. Along with the line, you are also required to write Account Payee there or on the back of the cheque. Account Payee means that the amount of the check goes directly to the customer's account. There is no cash payment in such a cheque. The amount entered on the check will go directly to your account.
