All Nippon Airways, a Japanese airline, said on Tuesday that it will not honour the substantially discounted first and business class tickets that were unintentionally sold last week due to a currency glitch.
On April 19, some travellers learned that ANA, the largest airline in Japan, offered premium seats for unbelievably low prices, with many fortunate individuals scoring $10,000 roundtrip tickets for just $300.
"For the flights which were erroneously processed, ANA will cancel and fully refund all itineraries," the carrier told Bloomberg on Tuesday. "ANA will notify each customer affected by the error. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience, and appreciate your cooperation in communicating with us."
It is unclear if ANA has maintained its previous statement to Bloomberg from last week that all rates would be honoured for travel through the end of April.
